Overview
After moving into your new premises, you may want to renovate the unit to suit your business operations. This section describes the types of Additions & Alterations (A&A) works and the various approvals each requires.
A&A works in HDB industrial properties are classified under 3 categories, namely:
- Regulatory Items – These A&A works are required to be submitted to the Building & Construction Authority (BCA), Fire Safety and Shelter Bureau (FSSB) and other relevant authorities for the necessary approvals and compliances with the statutory requirements of the Building Regulations, with the prior endorsement of HDB as the Building Owner. - Lodgement Items – A Qualified Person (QP) is required to be engaged to lodge the proposed lodgement items with HDB. Under this scheme, you can commence A&A works within the premises upon full satisfaction of all terms and conditions for lodgement. Want to lodge?
- Exemption Items - No application is required. You are required to ensure that all the required guidelines / terms of conditions are complied with.
