General Estate Information
Woodlands Industrial Park E is sited at the northern part of Woodlands new town and near Causeway. It comprises of 80 units of prototype (Standalone or semi-detached) factories which were built in 1983 to 1985. Typical unit floor size is about 1,620 sqm. It has 1 eating house within the estate providing a variety of food stalls serving mainly the workers in the estate.
Trade activities carried out within the estate ranges from manufacturing from raw materials, assembly of plants and machinery, and treatment of waste oil/solvents.
Future Plans
Based on URA's Master Plan 2008, the industrial estate is currently zoned for Business 2 use.(Please visit Urban Redevelopment Authority website to view the Master Plan for the estate. You may key in "Woodlands Industrial Park E" under Streetname query to locate the estate.)
Based on current HDB Industrial Redevelopment Programme (IRP), there are currently no plans to redevelop the estate within the next 5 years.(Please note that this is only estimated timing and is still subject to HDB's yearly reviews on the IRP taking into account of various factors such as economic conditions.) The existing tenancies will continue to be renewed up to 3 years. Sufficient ample relocation notices (if any) of at least 18 months will be given to the affected tenants. In most cases, it will take about 2-3 years after the relocation notices for tenants to move out the affected premises physically.
